Animetrocity: Are You Looking For A Supportive Cosplay Community?

Animetrocity is a cosplay community that will take new levels of  socializing with anime-lovers and the like.

Everywhere I looked there was thick eyeliner, backcombed hair, jewelry and incredibly dressed anime lovers, but there was a strange feeling of resentment in the air as everyone knew that soon they would have to go home and back to their normal boring world. And the biggest problem of all was that as they vetured out into the “normal” world, people stare at us and think we are weird.

We are not!

This all came up when I attended a cosplay convention when I was in my college days and it was so cool. I got to see fans being the characters that they grown to love and the best thing about it is that the more identical one’s look is (regardless of the genre they chose to portray) the cooler they get to be.

One of my friends there said to me: “I wish we had somewhere we could go each week to hang out and just be ourselves”

And then it came to me, why not create a place where everyone can be who as they are where we create a welcoming atmosphere. Thus Animetrocity was born.

Animetrocity is a community for people who loves anime at heart. It aims for people to gather from different areas to bond with each other tagging to accomplish the following for you:

Connect anime friends with the same interests,
A venue to share ideas,
A club environment where we can exploring new things,
A Members area where we can update what’s hot inside the anime world.
But more importantly it’s where you can have fun expressing the Otaku within you.

Being a fan of anime since childhood a random thought came into my mind saying “what if I could meet different people who has the same love for anime as I am and yet not just being bound by friendship online and at the same time have that venue where everyone can dress up with their cosplay clothes on a casual basis?”

Joining the words of Anime, Metro, and City is a perfect way to describe Otakus to gather around the area and not just have our expression brought out during special events. This would create not only a venue for gathering but as well as a new addition to your home.

I asked my friends of what I thought, and they actually knew some people that would like the idea. Not everybody has accepted wearing cosplay clothes as casual enough to be worn on a regular basis because it’s still a growing culture. But having a certain place to be themselves would surely spark the acceptance of our expression and shows true reasons why we do the way we are.

Us Otakus are not limited by age, race, gender, or culture. Everybody can be an Otaku whether you’re from the rural areas, the metro, or within the city and the love for it just grows. Some of us maybe Mangakas, Cosplayers, CGI Animators, or just a plain Otaku and more. Here in Animetrocity we’re going to break the barriers that will show the world who we are and create an impact that would be fresh to everyone’s eyes.

We are building an online community to update each other of the current happenings and at the same time we will fully support a live social community for gatherings. As of the moment venues are still being planned but we are aiming to have a permanent “hang-out” place within the Metro/City for the benefit of everyone.

Join my free members area right now by simple entering your name and email address into the space below and also get a free dose of Anime-inspired quotations daily. Do it right now and unleash more of the Otaku within and be inspired with Animetrocity.
